Once the high speed rollercoaster of a track is negotiated, riders will then drop into the cauldron of noise at the Bomb Hole finish arena, ready for another run or a bit of a refreshment. Race timings The race starts at midday, but if you're an early bird, you can catch some first practice runs at 8.
The car park opens at 7am for racers and their supporters. Racers do two runs with second runs usually at about 2. Location and parking The race is held in Greno Woods and the event car park is just off Woodhead Road. If you are travelling from Sheffield, it's about a mile and a half from Grenoside Village. Organisers ask all visitors racers and spectators alike to use the official car park and not the Forestry car park, or on the sides of the road. You can also ride to the event if you want: the race site is on the Trans Pennine Trail.

Getting around the site The car park is about a 5-minute walk from the top of the track and a further 15 minutes from the event arena in the bomb hole. There is spectator access down the side of the race track, or you can walk down one of the bridleways directly to the bomb hole.
The tracks vary in quality of surface none are actually surfaced and the gradient isn't too steep across on the site. Make some noise!

It can get pretty loud in sections of the course, particularly at the Jolley Gap Jump and down in the bombhole. Rather than shouting yourself hoarse all day, why not bring along something to make a noise - cow bell or horn, anyone? Come and make a day of it, be thrilled by the atmosphere and watch not just the best riders in the city, but some of the top riders in the world.
All-terrain pushchairs should handle the rougher ground fine. For younger fans, it's easy to find a quietish spot away from the crowds to put down a rug, have a picnic and enjoy the action at your pace.
